Date: November 28, 2016
Item/Subject: Order, Authorizing the City to work with the Penobscot Region of the New
England Mountain Biking Association
Responsible Department: Parks and Recreation
Commentary: This order would authorize City staff to work with the Penobscot Region
chapter of the New England Mountain Biking Association for maintenance and repair activities of
various trails in the Rolland Perry City Forest as well as Essex Woods. In addition, the group
would like to fundraise for larger projects. If approved, this order would also provide that the
group can fundraise on behalf of the City for larger trail projects in accordance policies
established by the Finance Director.
This was reviewed and approved at the November 21st meeting of the Government Operations
Committee.
