Recommend $27,669,528 Motion: Brydon Second: Luciano Vote: 7-0 Article 2: To see what sum the school administrative unit will be authorized to expend for Special Education for the Fiscal Year 2026-2027. Recommend $12,657,361 Motion: Brydon Second: Okere Vote: 7-0 Article 3: To see what sum the school administrative unit will be authorized to expend for Other Instruction for the Fiscal Year 2026-2027. Recommend $157,650 Motion: Brydon Second: Okere Vote: 7-0 Article 11: To see what sum the school administrative unit will appropriate for the total cost of funding public education from pre-kindergarten to grade 12 as described in the Essential Programs and Services Funding Act and to see what sum the Regional School Unit will raise and assess the municipality's contribution to the total cost of funding public education from pre-kindergarten to grade 12 as described in the Essential Programs and Services Funding Act in accordance with the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 20A, section 15688. Motion: Brydon Second: Okere Vote: 7-0 Article 13: To see if (the school administrative unit) will raise $17,842.73 to be used for the Bangor School Department's Vocational Education assessment. The assessment is for the UTC Adult Education budget which totals $195,815.00 of which $60,239.00 is supported by sending districts. Motion: Brydon Second: Okere Vote: 7-0 D. 2. a. Superintendent Robinson provided a district update to the committee. b. Principal Paul Butler announced the 2026 students receiving the Superintendent's Academic Excellence Award. c, Superintendent Robinson reported the following reassignment for the 25-26 school year: Kelsey Linscott from Kindergarten Teacher at Abraham Lincoln School to Grade 4 Teacher at Mary Snow School. E. 1. a. 1. Recommendation to approve the draft Minutes of the March 25, 2026 Regular School Committee Meeting. Motion: Brydon Second: Okere Vote: 7-0 b. 1. a. Recommendation to approve the following teacher nomination for the 2026-2027 School Year, with a one-year probationary contract. Committee Vice Chair Katie Brydon shared the following donations: To Abraham Lincoln School from Hannaford, a cash donation to support students, having a total dollar value of$202. To Fairmount School from Maine Savings Bank — Hampden Admin Team, a cash donation to support students, having a total dollar value of$917.64. Minutes, Regular Meeting,April 8, 2026 4° To William S. Vice Chair Brydon reported an update on the UTC program registrations for the 26-27 school year, the Business Leadership program has really expanded in popularity. There were 13 Bangor High Students recently chosen for National Technical Honor Society, they will attend an upcoming induction ceremony. Member Sprague reported on recent meetings of the scholarship committee. Member Sprague also mentioned a recent event to celebrate the state championship girl's soccer team. H. Chair Surrette read a statement on behalf of the Bangor School Committee regarding recent comments made. Member Cook praised Bangor School Department social media for reaching out of state audiences. Member Speed congratulated the STEM students who recently competed in the Science Fair. L 1. Important dates were reviewed by Chair Ti�n Surrette.
