Said notice with a detailed plan was also posted an the public notice board at City Hall and on utility
poles in the vicinity of the proposed discontinuance.
In accordance with the notification given, the Director of Engineering conducted a public hearing on
November 14, 2025 at 2;30 p.m. relative to the inCention of the Municipal Officers of the City af Bangor
to discantinue a portion of Pushaw Road, northeasterly of Finson Road.
There were three attendees to the Pubic Meeting. The attendees had no concerns about the praposed
discontinuance.
The Director of Engineering concluded and made the follc,wing determinations:
WHEREAS, Pushaw Road was accepted on August 17, 1�80,
WHEREAS, Pushaw Road right of way is 60 feek wide and extends for about 1,825 feet northeast from
Finson Road.
WHEREAS,the total area of right of way to be discontinued is about 8,445 square feet(0.19 acre +)for
a distance of 145 +/-feet,
WHEREAS,said portion of Pushaw Raad is no longer necessary to serve the public as a Right-Of-Way;
WHEREAS, In accordance with 23 M.R.S.A. § 3026-A, abutting property owners are entitled to $0.00
damages.
It is recommended that the portion of Pushaw Road, located northeasterly of Finson Road be
discontinued and vacated in its entirety, as depicted in"�xhibit A"and be removed from the Official City
Map,with no retention of a public easement.
