Authorizing the City Manager to Execute a Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City of Bangor and
American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), Local 926, Council 93
Representing Airport Operations
Summary
The Order authorizes the City Manager to execute a Collective Bargaining agreement between the
City of Bangor and AFSCME, Local 926, Local 93, representing the newly formed unit Airport
Operations for a three year period.
The City of Bangor and the Union entered into negotiations on March 13, 2025 and guidelines were
reviewed with Council on April 14, 2025. The City reached a tentative agreement with the Union on
July 14, 2025 but was originally voted down by Union membership. We returned to the table and
reached an updated tentative agreement on September 11, 2025, which has since been ratified by
the Union. The agreement was reached based on guidelines established by the City Council for a
three-year term from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2028.

Be it Ordered by the City Council of the City of Bangor that, the City Manager is authorized to execute a
Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City of Bangor and American Federation of State, County, and
Municipal Employees (AFSCME), Local 926, Council 93 Representing Airport Operations for a three year period
ending June 30, 2028.
