Item No: 25-039

Title, Ordinance
Amending Article II, Section 9-19 of the Code of the City of Bangor, Regular Meetings, to Change the Time of
Regular Council Meetings from 7:30 PM to 7:00 PM
Summary
If approved, this Ordinance would set the time of regular Council meetings at 7:00 p.m. This change was
discussed and supported during the December 9' City Council Workshop.
The intent of the earlier start time is to be more responsive, timely and accessible to those attending City
Council meetings for the conclusion of their business as well as to our residents.
As an Ordinance, it requires first and second reading and a ten day delay after passage to become effective.
If this change moves through the process without delay, the first meeting at which it will become effective
would be January 27, 2025.
