BANGOR SCHOOL COMMITTEE
REGULAR MEETING
7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 20, 2024
VOTED 5-0 to nominate Member Imke Schessler-Jandreau as Chair for the November 20, 2024 meeting.
School Committee Members Present: Chair Imke Schessler-Jandreau, Katie Brydon, Marwa Hassanien, Shelly
Okere, Ben Sprague. Chair Sara Luciano and Vice Chair Tim Surrette were absent.
A. 1. & 2. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chair Imke Schessler-Jandreau and the
pledge of allegiance followed.
A. 3. a. The Bangor School Department and the Bangor School Committee recognized the
varsity girls soccer team as 2024 class A state champions.
B. Adjustments to the Agenda:
No adjustments to the agenda.
C. Public Comments:
No Public Comments.
D. 2. a. Superintendent Robinson provided a district update to the committee.
b. Superintendent Robinson reported the following resignations for school year 2024-
2025:
Taylor Blackwell (.5)Winter JV Cheering Bangor High School
Jazmin Carver (.5)Winter JV Cheering Bangor High School
E.La. 1-2 VOTED 5-0 to approve the Minutes of the November 13, 2024 Organizational School
Committee Meeting and the November 141", 2024 Regular School Committee
Meeting.
b. 1. VOTED 5-0 to approve the August financial report.
c. 1. a. VOTED 5-0 to approve the following Extra Duty Assignments for 2024-2025:
Jason Smith Boys JV Basketball Coach Bangor High School
Justin Smith Boys Freshman Basketball Coach Bangor High School
d. Committee Member Shelly Okere shared the following donations:
To James F. Doughty School from C&L Aviation, Clothes and Shoes for students,
having a total dollar value of $1,414.53.
VOTED 5-0 to approve all donations.
F. 1 Member Hassanien spoke regarding the restructured DEIB meetings including more
frequent report outs.

4. Member Crespo gave an update on current happenings at Bangor High School
including the upcoming Little Mermaid performance, and the start of the winter sports
season.
H. 1. Important dates were reviewed by Chair lmke Schessler-Jandreau.
1. Chair Schessler-Jandreau wished everyone a happy Thanksgiving and a restful break.
VOTED 5-0 to adjourn the meeting at 7:35 p.m.
