Chair Chernesky called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.
New Business:
� To review an amendment of the Citv of Banqor Historic Preservation Code,
Chapter 148, bv includinq the Hasev's Maine Staqes Buildinq as a Historic
Landmark
Planning Officer Anja Collette presented the agenda item and gave an overview of the proposed
amendment.
Property owner Loren Coleman presented to the podium and provided overview of the history &
architecture of the building, as well his ownership and plans for the property.
HPC Consultant Mike Pullen asked about the term "stages" in the building's name —Coleman
responded that this is a reference to the property's previous use as a stagecoach stop.
Alternate Members Keebler and Weitkamp commended Coleman for his interest and effort in pursuing
historical designation for the property.
Commissioner Krupke asked about some of the drawings provided by Coleman —Coleman clarified
these depictions and provided some overview of his plans for the exterior of the building.
Collette confirmed the next steps for review and passage of the proposed amendment.

Other Business:
� Update on Tree Removal at the Hill House — Informing Commissioners of Bangor
Historical Society's decision to remove a basswood tree on the High Street side of
the lawn at the Hill House
Planning Officer Collette presented the agenda item. HPC Consultant Pullen provided information
regarding the tree removal decision. Discussed with Commissioners. Commissioner Krupke noted that
some of the wood will be saved and repurposed.
Alternate Member Keebler asked about a fence previously in place at the Hill House— Pullen responded
that installation of a similar fence is planned.

Alternate Member Weitkamp moved to approve the April 11th meeting minutes, seconded by Member
King. All voting members in favor, none opposed.

Meeting adjourned at 7:27 P.M.
