None Meeting adjourned at 8.40 PM PROCLAMATION.- Proclaimed April 26, 2024 as Arbor Day PROCLAMATION. Proclaimed May 10, 2024 as Child Care Providers Appreciation Day PROCLAMATION. Proclaimed the Week of May 6, 2024 as Economic Development Week PUBLIC COMMENT Wayne Mallar requested that Order 24-127 be removed from the Consent Agenda so that he could speak to it. Mr. Mallar indicated the minutes of the Council meeting had an error in the start time and Councilors absent. City Clerk Lisa Goodwin indicated she would make those corrections. Jim Moore spoke regarding the need for public restrooms especially behind the Hope House. Hilari Simmons spoke regarding driving policy changes, encouraging citizens to get out and vote and participate in elections, community engagement, local government accountability, ethical behavior and reclaiming public spaces. Scott Pardy spoke regarding Overdose Prevention Centers. Justin Cartier stated there was contradictory information on public restrooms and felt there should be continued discussions. Doug Dunbar spoke in favor of public restrooms and the need for more shelter. CONSENT AGENDA ASSIGNED TO ITEMNO. COUNCILOR 24-127 ORDER Appointing Election Clerks FISH Wayne Mallar would like the percentages of parry workers posted and questioned whether the correct percentages were done. Justin Cartier agreed there needs to be transparency in government. Hilari Simmons stated the list of workers from the last election only indicated the parties for those tallying. He would like to see the City produce an annual report.
