Bids/Purchasing a. Property Equalization (Revaluation) -Assessing - KRT Appraisal - $750,000 Motion made and seconded to recommend contract, passed unanimously. b. Uniform Rental —Airport— Unifirst - $60,000 Motion made and seconded to approve contract; motion passed unanimously. c. Waive Bid Process — Firearm Replacement— Police—Amchar Wholesale/Jurek Brothers - $64,325 Motion made and seconded to approve purchase; motion passed unanimously. d. Waive Bid Process — Biofilter Check Balls — Water Quality— Xylem - $44,232 Motion made and seconded to approve purchase; motion passed unanimously. 2. Recommendation for the City to Take Possession of Various Properties Staff provided information regarding matured tax and/or utility liens on two properties. Whereas the assessed owners have been unable to be contacted and have not paid the outstanding charges due, staff recommends taking possession of the properties. Motion made and seconded to recommend taking possession of 66 Smith Street and 232 Birch Street, motion passed unanimously. 3. Update on Tax Stabilization Program Staff provided an update regarding the discontinued Tax Stabilization Program. The program end will result in those qualifying taxpayers seeing an increase in their next year's tax bill. To educate taxpayers on the change and the expansion of the Tax Deferral Program and Property Tax Fairness Credit Program, staff sent inserts with this year's tax bills and plan to send another mailing soon. Staff's intent is to provide taxpayer's with as much information as possible and time to prepare for the increase. Meeting adjourned: 5:50 pm
