Introductions of each participant occurred. Chair Sychterz shared the purpose of this training was to receive training to ensure the process of selecting a new BSD Superintendent was followed. Eileen King reviewed 11w various policies of the BSD and Maine statutes regarding hiring practices. Ms.King stressed the importance of maintaining confidentiality and the need to agree to follow all confidentiality laws,policies,and expectations.To continue on this committee,each participant will need to sign a confidentiality fonn. Steve Bailey reviewed the documents participants should be familiar with:10 Year Strategic Plan, Vision and Mission,Job Description,information from the survey. Mr.Bailey reviewed the survey and forum results and what respondents are looking for in the new Superintendent. Mr.Bailey stressed the importance of selecting the new Superintendent. When screening applicants make sure you are in a secure location,do not share any infbrmation including your log in information,and ensure confidentiality.All participants signing the confidentiality form will be provided with further directions on screening selection. Questions and discussion were held regarding the signing of the Confidentiality Form.
