2.Discussion of Teaching Pathways
a.Interim Superintendent Harris-Smedberg explained that the elimination of a pathway would
be difficult due to the following reasons:
i.In grades PreK-8 the majority of students are attending five days a week.If hybrid was
eliminated, some schools do not have the capacity to absorb additional five day a week
students.
ii.Remote learning cannot be eliminated due to the pandemic and number of students who
have health concerns or who are living with people who have health concerns.
iii.Five day in person learning cannot be eliminated due to the high number of students
accessing that pathway.
b.Discussion around supports for teachers who teach all three pathways was discussed.
3.Discussion of Policy —was not on the agenda,so should not be discussed.
Meeting adjourned at 9:02 p.m.
