Councilors in Attendance: Nichols (Chair), Dubay, Hawes, Okafor
Non-Committee Member Councilors: Fournier, Sprague, Davitt
Staff in Attendance: C. O'Donnell, C. Conlow
The meeting was held both in-person and remotely via ZOOM and was called to order by Chair
Sarah Nichols at 6:31pm.
1) Council Order— MOU with Town of Orono for Regional Climate Action Planning
Assistant City Manager O'Donnell reviewed the City's approach for Regional Climate Action
Planning and stated that this MOU would formalize our relationship and commitment. She
outlined next steps and informed the Committee that the Town of Orono would also be
voting on the MOU the same night. The hope is that our efforts will better position us for
upcoming federal funding to implement the plan to reduce our climate impact.
A motion to approve and move to full Council was made by Councilor Hawes, seconded by
Councilor Okafor, all in favor.
Meeting was adjourned at 6:38.
