O'Donnell,J. Comstock, D. Laurie The meeting was held both in-person and remotely via ZOOM (with roll-call vote) and was called to order by Chair Sue Hawes at 5:40 pm. 1. Council Resolve— Ratifying Staff action by Bangor Public Health and Community Services to Apply for Grant Funding for a Health Equity and Overdose Prevention Grant in the amount of$15,000 from the National Association of County and City Health Officials Jamie Comstock of Bangor Public Health & Community Services gave an overview of this item. In response to a question, it was explained that this grant is not specific to Bangor but the majority will be concentrated in Bangor because that's where the need is. A motion to approve and move to full Council was made by Councilor Davitt, seconded by Councilor Tremble, all in favor. 2. Council Resolve—Accept &Appropriate $76,000 in Lead Poisoning Prevention grant funding from Maine CDC for a Two-Year Grant Period Jamie Comstock of Bangor Public Health & Community Services gave an overview of this item and explained it does focus on Bangor. A motion to approve and move to full Council was made by Councilor Yacoubagha, seconded by Councilor Davitt, all in favor. 3. Community Connector Update Assistant City Manager Courtney O'Donnell provided an update regarding the transit system. Information related to the ongoing bus stop policy in partnership with BACTS, structural analysis is working its way through BACTS and community partners before returning to Council, driver numbers are getting better, maps have been updated to be easier to read, we will be issuing an RFP for technology with the help of NCATT, and the transit center construction is on schedule. Meeting was adjourned at 5:53pm.
