O'Donnell, J. Comstock, D. Smith, E. Pelletier, L. Goodwin The meeting was called to order by Committee Chair Hawes at 5:52 p.m. 1. Resolve: Public Health grant amendment$25,519 for Let's Go Prevention Grant Public Health's Health Promotion ManagerJamie Comstock provided an overview ofthis grant. This amendment is an extension for an additional three months. It is expected that the state will release an updated RFP in the near future. The funding will support existing programs. A motion to approve and move to full Council was made by Councilor Yacoubagha, seconded by Councilor Tremble, all in favor. 2. Resolve: Public Health grant amendment$84,407 for Tobacco Prevention Grant Public Health's Health Promotion ManagerJamie Comstock provided an overview ofthis grant, as it quite similar to the previous item. This amendment is an extension for an additional three months. It is expected that the state will release an updated RFP in the near future. The funding will support existing programs. A motion to approve and move to full Council was made by Councilor Tremble, seconded by Councilor Yacoubagha, all in favor. 3. Narcan Overview&Training by Public Health Denise Smith with Public Health provided information about Narcan, including that it is integral to overdose prevention work by Public Health. Last year, 11,000 kits were distributed by Public Health. She went on to explain that Narcan is 100% safe. It takes two minutes to work, but will not hurt someone if they are not in fact overdosing. 4. Resolve: Authorizing the City Manager to Accept and Appropriate AFG Acceptance $273,021.09 Deputy Fire Chief Pelletier provided an overview of this grant that will send eight personnel to school to obtain their paramedic certification. There is a 10% match that can be covered by existing operating dollars. A motion to approve and move to full Council was made by Councilor Tremble, seconded by Councilor Yacoubagha, all in favor. 5. Ordinance: Amending Chapter 28, City Departments to reflect organizational changes Assistant City Manager O'Donnell and City Clerk Goodwin provided an overview of proposed ordinance changes to amend the function of three city department to better reflect current updates and changes to Administrative Services dept, Finance Dept. and Records Dept. A motion to approve and move to full Council was made by Councilor Tremble, seconded by Councilor Yacoubagha, all in favor. Meeting was adjourned at approximately 6:15 pm.
