HomeMy WebLinkAbout2023-05-01 Airport Committee Minutes City of Bangor Airport Committee May 1, 2023 Meeting Minutes The following City Councilors attended: Dina Yacoubagha, Richard Fournier, Dan Tremble, Joseph Leonard, Cara Pelletier,Jonathan Sprague, and Susan Hawes. Also, in attendance were Assistant Airport Director Evan Thomas, and Marketing and Business Development Manager, Aimee Thibodeau Agenda and Discussion: Introduction and welcome to Ramp Services Manager, Travis Higgins. 1. Airport Advertisin� & Marketin� update: a. Airport statistics report, March 2023 Our monthly passenger seats are ahead of where we anticipated being with a total of 45,545 passengers traveling. In comparison to 2022, March reflected 48,258 total passengers traveling, which was a record month. Operational stats look good; military traffic is slightly low. Heavy traffic is increasing. Fuel sales are on budget. The Summit Project Honor Case will be on display at BGR through Memorial Day. A media event held earlier this month was well attended. Marketing/Business Development team has attended Career Fairs at Nokomis and Brewer High Schools, as well as EMCC. Military troop flights have been busy in recent weeks with Maine Troop Greeters in attendance to welcome troops to Bangor.
