Acadia Hospital/Wetland Mitigation Cit�- Solicitor Norm Heitmann briefed the Committee on the background of the agreement between the City and Acadia Hospital w-hich provides that thc c_'ity� make land a��ailable for wetland miti�ation in the event of an e�pansion at Ac�dia Hospital. The aareement also provides that Acadia must give notice of its intent to expand the facilit��to the City by July 30, 2000. EMH's in-house Counsel recently called and requested a one-}�ear extension to which City Solicitor Heitmann advised that it be in ���ritin`7. �Ir. Heitinann recommends Coinmittee consider Acadia Hospital's requ�st as presented. A motion was made and seconded to recommend for approval to the full Cit�� Council the extension as requested bv Acadia Hospital. So voted. 2. Children�s ti�Iuseum— Sian Issues E�ectiti��e Director Sean Faircloth, on behalf of t11e Board of the Eastern �Iaine . Children�s `�Iuseum (EMCM), submitted a request to the C&ED Committee, for a recammendation of approval to the City Council, that the City of Bangor amend their � sign code and Bangor Center Revitalization Ordinance in order to accammodate appropriate signage far EMCM in their not-for-profit cultural attraction benefiting Ban�ar. Conimittee directed staff to put together an amendment that would be appropriate for the downtown and meet the needs for the Children's MuseLim. This will be brought back to the C&ED Committee at its August 9t�'zneeting. 3. Rehab Loan 272 Essex Street, sin�le-family group hame A motion was made and seconded to approve this Ioan request as presented. So voted. 4. Rehab Loan 58 Randolph Drive, single-family A motion was made to deny this loan as presented with a vote of 3 I 2 against. Sa voted. 5. Rehab Loan 44 Patten Street, 2 family,New Neighbors Program project Item not ready. b. Rehab Loan Reaffirmation Agreement—20 Woodbury Street A motion was made and seconded to apprave this rehab loan reaffirmation a�reement as presented. So voted. 7. Neighbarhaod Improvement and Hausin6 Issues + Postponed. 8. Recommendation to Citv Council on Adoption of City of Banaor"Comprehensive Plan 2000" Committee recommended that the PlanninQ Board hald their public hearing on this issue and then bring it back to#lze C&ED Coznmittee at their neYt meetin� for a public hearin�. 9. French Street—No Parkina Zone Staff ret�ie���ed an amendment ta Schedule I of Chapter 29I, Article III, of the Gode of the City of Bangor—Parkina Prohibited at All Times whicl7 proposes to create a 3�-foot"Na Parkina" zone primarily in front af 22 Gar�and Street. This will ��r�ovide saiety to the resident at 301 French Street, titi•ho lives across from 22 Garlanci �treet; in exitin�tlleir drii-e���ay.
