MEETING OF JANUARY 21, 1997

Vice Chairman Burgoyne called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. In the
. absence of Board Members Myerowitz and Drummond, Associate Members Bostwick
and Fournier voted on the items.
PUBLIC HEARINGS
Item No. 1: Amending Chapter VIII, Part II, Article 6, Section 4 -Accessory
Support Structures - City of Bangor, applicant. C.O. # 97-78.
Vice Chairman Burgoyne opened the public hearing and asked for proponents.
As no one spoke either in favor of or in opposition to the zoning amendment, Vice
CF�airman Burgoyne then asked for comments from Staff.
Planning Officer Lord briefly explained that this amendment woutd provide�for
flexible setback requirements for accessory support structures that needed to be moved
due to a taking or conveyance for a tight-of-way widening. Staff recommended
approval of the proposed amendment.
Vice Chairman Burgoyne closed the public hearing and asked for a motion. Mr.
Hall moved to recommend to the City Council that the zoning amendment contained in
C.O. # 97-78 be approved. Mr. Fournier seconded the motion and the Board voted 5 to
0 in favor.

Item No. 2: Planning Board Approval of Minutes of January 7, 1997 Meeting.
The minutes of the January 7, 1997 Planning Board meeting were unanimously
approved as printed. .
MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS
Item No. 3: Planning Board Review of Correspondence and Other
Communications From the Planning O�ce.
Planning Officer Lord noted that the Planning Office had received (from the Code
Enforcement office) a copy of a Temporary Certificate of Occupancy for the Latter Day
Saints Church at 639 Grandview Avenue and a copy of a 60-day extension request for
the Center for Family Business at Husson Coilege.
There being no further items, the meeting was adjourned at 7:03 p.m.
