The currnxit finaricing plan is to issue the bonds on January 3, 1994 due to the availability of funds in the . market as January maturities and principal payments ccane due. G. Installation of 25 CENTREX Lines at BIA Pellegrino presented. request for installation of 25 CE�]TRE�� lines frcan New England Telephone at Airport. Initial cost totals $39,124 -- $1,665 is for inStallation and $37,459 is for the lines (Schedule A charges) . N�nthly charges will be reduced. to $587 frcan $1,354.95, realizing reduction of $767.95/month. Non-present value payback period is 51 mr�nths; present value payback is 46 months. R. Stone questianed value of pa.yba.ck, in his business a �two year payback is used.. Also, questioned whether NET can red.uce costs. Barrett responded. � that NET is a public utility, therefore rates and tariffs at set by PUC, opportunity to negotiate a lawer cost probably does not exist. J. Tyler agreed with Ba.rrett. R. Stane furt,her questioned whether there are other alternatives to CENTREX lines? Staff responded. that other alternative is for the City to string its awn lines and be responsible for their mairitenance. G. C,hemicals, Inc., Searsport, Me for est�mated. cost of $23,880. Polymer is used in the dewatering process separating solids frcgrt liquids, and affects consistency of sludge and cceripost. Che�nicals bid were tested at the Treatment Plant, and. T/P staff has rec�nded materials which do the best job. C.
