Beginning at the intersection of the southwesterly right-of-way line of Godsoe Road and the northwesterly right-of-way line of Crosby Street as established by City Council Order No. 221-AA passed August 13, 1973; thence southwesterly along an extension of the northwesterly line of Crosby Street for a distance of 299.73 feet to the Hampden town line; thence in. a southeasterly direction, along the Hampden. town line for a distance of 66.00 feet to a point; thence in a northeasterly direction. along a line parallel to, and 66 feet southeast from the first described line for a distance of 299.57 feet to a point, said point being at the intersection of the southwesterly line of Godsoe Road and the southeasterly line of Crosby Street as previously laid out; thence in a northwesterly direction along an. extension. of the southwesterly line of Godsoe Road for a distance of 66.00 feet to the point of beginning. The above laying out includes the existing 50 foot dedicated right-of-way of Crosby Street, plus and additional 16 --- -£oo-t= st-rip -along- the -southeasterly side, resulting in the establish- ment of a 66 foot wide right-of-way. The additional land for the widening of the existing right-of-way is acquired as follows: Land owned by Edward B. , Robert J. and John L. Murray: Penobscot Registry of Deeds, Volume 1074, Page 387 . A strip of land 16 feet wide along the southerly line of Crosby Street, described as follows: beginning at the intersection, of the south- westerly right-of-way line of Godsoe Road and the southeasterly line of Crosby Street as previously laid out; thence in a southwesterly direction on an extension of the southeasterly line of Crosby Street for a distance of 89.97 feet to the southwesterly line of said Murray land. Thence in a northwesterly direction. along the southwesterly line of said Murray land for a distance of 16 feet to a point, said point being on the original southeasterly line of Crosby Street. Thence in. a northeasterly _direction on., a line 16 feet northwest from, and parallel to, the first described line for a distance of 90.01 feet to the southwesterly line of Godsoe Road; thence in a south- easterly direction for a distance of 16 feet to the point of beginning. The above described parcel contains . 033 acres. Recommended Damages $75. 00 Land Owned by Frank H. Drummond Heirs: Penobscot Registry of Deeds, Volume 611, Page 390 A strip of land 16 feet wide along the southeasterly side of the existing dedicated right-of-way of Crosby Street, described as follows: beginning at the intersection of the existing south- easterly right-of-way line of Crosby Street and the Hampden. town line; thence northeast along the southeasterly line of Crosby Street for a distance of 209.6 feet to the southwesterly line of the Murray land; thence in a southeasterly direction. along the southwesterly line of said Murray land for a distance of 16 feet; thence in a southwesterly direction on a line parallel to and 16 feet southeast from the first described lin.e for a distance of the-Hampden town line; thence northwest along the Hampden town line for a distance of 16 feet to the point of beginning. The above described parcel contains an area of . 078 acres. Recommended Damages $180.00 There appeared at the time and place set for the hearing Mr. and Mrs. Roland G. Dolley, representing the Frank Drummond heirs, who spoke in favor of the right-of-way extension.
