ORDERED9
THAT the attached report from the City Engineer relative to
the estimated cost of construction of a new sanitary sewer on
Mildred Avenue be and hereby is accepted and be it further
ORDERED that said sewer be constructed as soon as possible and
be it further
ORDERED that the sum of $11, 000 be appropriated from the Capital
Fund, Reserve for Sewer Construction., Account (92-2236) to a new
account, No. 52-60-20. 13 (4008) , Mildred Avenue Sanitary Sewer.

TO THE MUNICIPAL OFFICERS: June 20, 1974
Reference is made to City Council Order No. 123-AB passed April 8,
1974 directing the City Engineer to prepare plans and cost estimates
for the installation of a new sanitary sewer on. Mildred Avenue, in.
accordance with a petition, dated March 22, 1974 from various
residents on. Mildred Avenue, Gray Street and Nason Avenue. Final
plans and cost estimates have been completed for the installation
of the sewer, as follows:
The installation would consist of 1, 1 75 feet of 8-inch pipe and
-- f ive- -(-5)--manholes,--extending southwest along -Mildred Avenue-from - - -an existing City sewer located approximately 275 feet west of
Hammond Street. The total estimated cost of the sewer installation
is $11, 000, of which 50%, or $5,500 would be assessed against the
properties benefited as follows:

The sewer installation is intended to replace an existing private
sewer which was never accepted by the City, and which is in very poor
condition, resulting in a possible nuisance condition.. For this
reason., it is recommended that the new sewer be installed as soon as
possible.
A plan showing the proposed installation is attached.
