My dear Mr. Alley:
In celebration of National Salvation Army Week, May 17- 24,
we would like to petition the City Council, through you, for
permission to park a flat body truck downtown. This would be
a decorated vehicle and we would hope to have a band concert
in the afternoon along with a picture exhibit. The date
would be Saturday, May 16, 1964. The location sought is
preferably downtown in frost of the former Newberry Store
or in the square opposite Sweet`s drug store.
Sincerely yours,

My dear Mr. Coupal:
In connection with our request for parking space for struck
on Saturday, May 16th, I have noted your proposal for spaces
along the Mall on State Street. This would be satisfactory
to us.
We are planning a band concert along with an exhibit on
the truck. This is in commemoration of National Salvation
Army Week, May 16 - 24•
Yours in community service,
Magor
