TV, Arc. 2, sec,,, a. __. to Be it ordained by the City Council of City of Barman, as fd(oes: That Ordinances Ch. IV, Art, 2, Sec. 4 entitled "Soliciting on Streets Restricted' be hereby amended by re -numbering Sub -Section 4.2 to Sub - Section 4.4 and by inserting new Sub -Sections 4.2 and 4.3 worded as follows: 4.2 Permits foe Tap Days on Public Streets and Ways. Permits for tag days o public streets and ways for the benefit of non-profit organizations shall be issued by the City Clerk. No one organization shall be allowed more than one such permit i any calendaryear. Only o organization shall be granted a permit for the same period. An application shall contain the name of the organization; a brief, factual statement of the purposes for which the money to be raised Is to be used; an agreement to furnish the City Clerk, not later than seven n days after the period for which the permit is granted, a itemized state- ment m showing the grass amount collected, the cost of thesolicitation, and the net amount remaining n to be applied to the stated purposes; a agree - gant that he total expense of the solicitation shallnot exceed 25% of the ross amount collected; and the signature of the individual in charge of the solicitation and who, on behalf of the organization, agrees to the terms of the permit. There shall be no fee fee the permit, but no organ- ization that fails to furnish the required statement of moneys received and expended shall subsequently be granted a permit. 4.3 Tag Day Defined. The term "tag day" is hereby defined to m a day or =cup of consecutive days o which it shall be lawful for organizations to solicit funds upon the public streets and ways of the city through the means of distributing emblems or selling devices or other merchandise, the possession of which emblem or device shall indicate those o have contributed to such organization, or through any other solicita- tion means. Note: This ordinance, after consideration by the Public Safety Committee at its meeting of December 9, 1963, supersedes ordinance 242-0 which will be moved for indefinite postponement.
