RESOLVED,
WHEREAS, The City of Bangor has committed Itself to make available
to Its employees the benefits of the State Retirement System, and
WHEREAS, the State Retirement System provides that employees in
excess of 70 years of age must be retired unless special previsions are made,
and
WHEREAS, John S. Gallant, a laborer in the Public Works Department
of the City of Bangor, Maine, is in excess of 70 years of age and wishes to
ail himself of the opportunities afforded by the State Retiremen Plan, there-
fore be it
RESOLVED, that in view of Mr. Gallant's many years of faithful and
conscientious service to the City of Bangor, the request of Mr. Gallant that
he bent retired at age 70 be and hereby is granted, and that the Trustees of
the State Retirement System be advised that Mr. Gallant is being retained.
