THAT WHEREAS there are outstanding certain deferred assessments for street and sewer construction in the Industrial Park area of the City of Bangor, and WHEREAS certain businesses are being or will be forced to relocate from their present places of business in the downtown business district of the City of Bangor because of the downtown urban renewal project, anc WHEREAS it is the intention of the City Council to encourage and assist such businesses to relocate within the City of Bangor, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED that the report of the Bangor Industrial Development Committee dated July 29, 1964, be and is hereby received and BE IT FURTHER ORDERED that whenever any firm presently located within the project area of the downtown urban renewal project wishes to relocate within the Bangor Industrial Park on property on which there are outstanding street and sewer assess- ments,such street and sewer assessments shall be abated. "July 29, 1964 TO: The Honorable City Council FROM: Industrial Development Advisory Committee IN RE: Industrial Park Street and Sewer Assessments Sirs Please be advised that the Industrial Development Advisory Committee held a meeting on July 28, 1964, and has given careful consideration to the above matter. The Industrial Development Advisory Commitee recommends THAT Industrial Park street and sewer assessments be eliminated for firms dislocated from the downtown urban renewal project wishing to locate there. The committee's recommendation is with the stipulation THAT It be worked out on individual basis with firms qualifying, and where the city has a "deferred assessment" policy.
