There appeared at the time and place set for the meeting
Mrs. Selena Perry, Mr. J. Francis Perry and James P. Quine, Attorney
for the Perrys. All present spoke in favor of the proposed laying
out. The question arose as t0 when the construction of the roadway
would be undertaken and those present were informed that the con-
struction is scheduled for this season. They were informed that
all abutting property owners would be assessed 50% of the actual
construction costs on a front foot basis as soon as the construction
is completed and the actual costa are known. They were further
informed, however, that the levying of the assessment would be de-
ferred until such time as the adjacent property were developed,
provided that the owners would agree to sell their property to any
interested developer referred to them by the City of Bangor at a
maximum price of twenty-five hundred dollars ($2,500) per acre, and provided
that Nay would furnish a recordable instrument to that effect upon completion of construction.
It will be noted that the laying out as mentioned above in
cludes a large section of roadway which is presently known as Sewall
Road. It is recommended that the name of this portion of Sewall
Road be changed to Perry Road and that the existing portion of Perry
Road, which lies to the south and which is not to be accepted, be
changed to Sewall Road so that the above laying out will bear the
name of Perry Road all the way from its present beginning at
Thatcher Street to its terminus as Odlln Road.
172-R -5
Those present were informed that no damages would be paid for
the laying out Inasmuch as the right of way had been previously
dedicated and dosages were previously paid for a sewer right of
way within the same llmlte.
It is recommended that the above-described right of way
be accepted an a public way to be named and known as Perry Road.
The above-described laying out and grade 1a referred to on
City of Bangor Plan P796 on file In the office of the City Engineer.
Respectfully submitted,
John T.Frawley
