In Re: 72-74 Third Street
July 9, 1964
For some time now, I have been trying to have the
dwelling at 72-74 Third Street which belongs to Mr. Virgil Rice,
who resides at 62-64 Third Street, repaired and restored to a
safe condition.
It is my opinion that the ell on the rear of this building
is beyond repair and should be removed. However, I feel that the
main building which is of brick construction should be secured.
Mr. Rice has been notified of the conditions of this building
and the last notice was sent to him on May 25, 1964. To date,
we have not received a reply from this notice.
I, therefore, recommend that the main portion of this building
be secured with the ell removed and the matter be referred to the
City Council for action.
