RESOLVED, that recognizing that during their ten-year tour of duty in
Bangor Majors William A. Hartman and Margery G. Hartman of the Salvation
Army performed many acts of kindness for many Bangor people and for
thousands of strangers in our midst, and
Recognizing, further, that the Hartmans' constant devotion to their duty
of service has endeared them widely among our citizens and visitors
We, the members of the City Council of the City of Bangor, now, upon
their departure, emend to them our sincere thanks for what they did here and
assure them that they will long be held in our high esteem, and
We congratulate Manchester, New Hampshire, our sister Queen City, that
It is now to be honored by their presence.
