THAT the Personnel Rules and Regulations adopted by the City
Council June 29, 1964, be amended by adding the following:
Section M. Unethical Practices
1 . Solicitation and Receipt of Gifts or Payments. No city employee
shall solicit nor accept on behalf of himself, his department, or the city of Bangor
any gift whether in the form of service, loan, thing, or promise from any person,
firm, or corporation which is Interested directly or indirently In any manner
whatsoever in any dealings with the city nor shall such employee accept any gift,
favor, of thing of value that may tend to'd fluence him In the discharge of his
duties or grant in the discharge of his duties any Improper favor, service, or
thing of value.
2. Incompatible Employment. No employee shall engage In or
accept private employment or render services for private interests when such
employment or service is incompatible with the proper discharge of his official
duties or would tend to impair his independence of judgment or action in the
performance of his official duties.
