THAT WHEREAS under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 each Federal Department or Agency empowered to exceed Federal financial assistance to any program or activity Is directed to issue regulations to effectuate the provisions of Section 601 of the Act prohibiting discrimination under such programs on the ground of race, calor, or national origin, and, WHEREAS the General Services Administration has requested that the City enter Into an agreement to assure compliance with GSA regulations under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED THAT the City Manager be and is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement on behalf of the City to assure such compliance.
