THAT Chapter VII, Article 6, Section 7 of the Revised Ordinances of the City of Bangor as amended be further amended by repealing in its. entirety Section 7 and replacing with the following_ Section 7: Sec. 7 Discharge of Firearms Prohibited. No person shall the or discharge any revolver, pistol (excepting toy pistols for the explosions of paper caps only); gun, fowling piece, cannon, toy cannon (excepting toy cannons made especially for use in connection with the discharge of small firecrackers) or firearms within the following described area: starting at the Penobscot River at the Bangor -Hampden town line and extending along said line to a meeting of the Hermon -Bangor town line, hence along the Hermon -Bangor line to Hammond Street (U.S. Rt. 42) and continuing easterly along Hammond Street to the easterly boundary of Dow Air Force Base; proceeding along the boundary of Dow Air Force Base in a northeasterly direction to the southerly boundary of Union Street; thence proceeding along the southwesterly boundary of Union Street to the intersection of Davis Road; thence along the northerly boundary of Davis Road to the Pinson Road; thence south- easterly along the Pinson Road to the northerly boundary of the Pushaw Road; thence northeasterly along the nortkem boundary of the Pushaw Road to the easterly boundary of Broadway; thence southerly along the easterly boundary of Broadway to the northerly boundary of the Strickland Road; thence across Broadway along the westerly boundary of the Burleigh Road to the intersection of Essex Street; thence southerly along the centerline f of Essex Street to a point on a radius 2-1!2 miles from City Hall, Bangor 9 J and thence along the radius of the arc in a generally southeasterly - direction to the low water mark of the Penobscot River; thence westerly along the low water mark of the Penobscot River to the channel of Kenduskeag Stream; thence northerly along the Kenduskeag Stream to Hammond Street; thence westerly along the northerly sideline of Hammond Street to the point of beginning; provided, however, that this section shall not apply to the use of such weapons at any military exercise or review, or in the lawful defense of the person, family or property of any citizen, nor to the use thereof by any officer in the discharge of his duty, nor to any person engaged In rifle, gun or revolver practice at any licensed shooting range or gallery within the City. 1]1-3 :CgIVED ORDINANCE �' 1965 pr' "b1 AH 11 3� S OFFICE iTrnE') Amendina Chap.
