The original proposal called for the Installation of a new eight (8) inch sewer extending westerly from Hogan Road for a dis- tance of approximately twelve hundred fifty (1250) feet to a new aeration type package treatment plant, the effluent of which would discharge into Penjajawec Stream. The treatment plant was to have a capacity of seventy-five hundred (7500) gallons per minute. Also Included in the proposal was the acquisition of a fifty (50) foot wide right of way from Hogan Road to the treatment plant site to permit the installation of the sewer, a ten (10) foot wide gravel access road and a power line to the plant. The original estimated cost of this proposal was twenty-four thousand five hundred fifty dollars ($24,550). All work has been completed as described in the original pro- posal and the actual cost of the work is twenty-two thousand thirty- eight dollars and fourteen cents ($22,038.14) plus sixteen hundred fifty dollars ($1650) for land acquisition, making a total oast of twenty-three thousand six hundred sixty-eight dollars and fourteen cents ($23,668.14). In accordance with Council order 186-R, it was agreed that Cole Rips., Inc. would pay fifty percent (50,$) of the project cost as well as eleven hundred fifty dollars (0$1150) towards the acquisition of the right of way. The total assessment to Cole Bros., Inc. for the entire project is therefore twelve thousand one hundred sixty-nine dollars and seven cents ($12,169.07). It is therefore recommended that the above-mentioned assess- ment be levied and that a date be set for a public hearing as re- quired by law. An accurate break -down of the above-mentioned actual cost is on file in the office of the City Engineer. ,Respectfully submitted, . I John Frawley En City Engineer JTF:1
