ORDERED,
THAT purspant to Section 8 of Article V6 of the City Charter (Private
and Special laws of 1931, Chapter 54), and all acts amendatory tbereof and
additional thereto, and under Section 24A of Chapter 425 of the 1965 Private
and Special Lams of Maine, there is hereby authorized the issue and sale of
Three Hundred Fifteen Thousand dollars ($315,000) aggregate principal amount
of aerial coupon bonds of the City of Bangor to be in denominations of either
$1,000 or $5,000 each and to be numbered from No. 1 upwaai with interest
payable semiannually at such rate as shall be determined by the City Treasurer,
with the approval of the Finance Cameittee and the Obsidian of the City Council.
Said bonds shell be dated September 1, 1965, and shall be payable $15,000 on
the first day of September in each of the years 1966 to 1986, inclusive.
Said bonds shall be authenticated as to genuineness by Merchants
National Bank, in Bangor, Naine, and shall be payable as to principal and
interest at said bank, provided, however, that the City Treasurer is authorized
to select aco-paying agent located in the City of Boston, Massachusetts, in
which case
said bonds shall be payable as to principal and interest at
Merchants National Basic, or, at the option of the holder, at such other bank,
if ary, as the Treasurer selects. The proceeds derived from the sale of said
bonds less prmdum, if aav, shall be used and are hereby appropriated in the
aspects hereinafter indieated:
(i) to the extent of $1201000 for the CSty:s cash grant-in-aid
to the Stillwater Park Urban Renewal Project,
(ii) to the extent of $100,000 to re-establish the Hersey Fund
(so called), and
(iii) for three permanent public improvements in the City, hereby
or heretofore authorized, the astiaated period of utility of each
is hereby declared to be at least twenty-five years, to wit: street
construction (Mount Hope Avenue) - $40,000; construction

Any premiums received from the sale of said bonds
less the cost of preparing, issuing and marketing
them shall be applied to the payment of the first

GENERAL PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT AND FUNDING BOND
The City of Bangor, in the State of Maine, for
value received, hereby promises to pay to bearer the
sum of thousand dollars ($ )
on the first day of September, 19with interest
meantime at the rate of per cent. ( %)
per annum, payable semiannually to the bearer of
the coupons hereto attached, upon surrender there-
of as they respectively mature, both principal and
interest being payable at Merchants National Bank, in
Bangor, Maine (or, at the option of the holder, at

Massachusetts).
This bond is issued pursuant to the City Charter
(Private and Special Laws of 1931, Chapter 54), and
acts in addition thereto and in amendment thereof,
and Section 24A of Chapter 425 of the 1965 Private and
Special Laws of Maine and by order of the City Council
to raise funds to provide a cash grant-in-aid of the S
water Park Urban Renewal Project, to re-establish the
Hersey found, so called, and for permanent public im-
provements, to wit: street construction, construction
of an addition to the City Hospital and a parking area
in Bass Park. It is hereby certified that every
requirement of law relating to the issue hereof has
been duly complied with and that this bond is, and
the indebtedness evidenced hereby was, at the time
it was incurred, within every debt and other limit
prescribed by the Constitution and laws of the
State of Maine, the Ordinances, Orders and Resolves
of the City of Bangor.
This bond is one of a series of bonds of like
tenor, except as to maturities and denominations,
numbered 1 to 64, inclusive, in the denominations
of $5,000 and $1,000 and payable $159000 on the
first day of September in each of the years 1966
to 1966, both_ dates.Inclusive,.
The said City of Bangor hereby pledges its
faith and credit for the payment of the principal
of and interest on said bonds, but neither this bond
nor any coupon for interest hereon shall become
obligatory until the bond is authenticated by the
certificate of Merchants National Bank endorsed
hereon.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the said City of Bangor has
caused its corporate seal to be hereto affixed and
this bond to be signed in its name and behalf by
its City Treasurer and countersigned by the Chair-
man of its City Council and the attached coupons to
bear the facsimile signature of said City Treasurer,
the first day of September, 1965•

due on its General Public Improvement and Funding
Bond, dated September 1, 1965•

That the City Treasurer, with the approval of the
Finance Committee and Chairman of the City Council,
1s hereby authorized and directed to prepare, issue
and sell the bonds herein authorized at public sale
at not less than par and accrued interest to date
of delivery in such manner, at such time and upon
such terms as he shall determine, with approval as
aforesaid, and to give receipt for payment of
the purchase price of said bonds and to do all
things necessary or proper subject to this Order
and applicable provisions of law to effectuate the
issuance and sale of said bonds.
That in each of the years during which any of the
bonds are outstanding there shall be levied a tax
in an amount which, with other revenues, if any,
available for the purpose, shall be sufficient to
pay the interest on said bonds payable in such year
and the principal of such bonds maturing in such
year.
FURTHER
ORDERED: That Messrs. Ropes & Gray of Boston, Massachusetts,
be requested to render an opinion approving the
validity of the bonds authorized by the preceding
Order.

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESEN2S, that PENTECQSTAL ASSRlBLY OF
BANGOR, INC., a corporation duly organized under the laws of the State
of Maine, and having its principal place of business in Bangor, in the
County of Penobscot, State of Maine, in consideration Of One dollar
($1.00) and other valuable consideration, (but less that $100.00), paid
by the CITY OF BANGOR, a municipal corporation, located in said County
and state, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, does hereby give,
grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said CIPY OF BANGOR, its sec
cessors and assigns forever, the following described parcel of land:
Beginning at a point on the southerly property line of Coe
Park, said point being One hundred twenty feet (120 ft.) west of the
southeast corner of Coe Park; thence south, at right angles to said
property line, a distance of forty feet (40 ft.); thence east at right
angles to the ]eat described line, a distance of approximately One hun-
dred ninety feet (190 ft.) to the westerly mean low water line of
Kenduskeag Street; thence north along said low water line, a distance of
approximately fifty feet (50 ft.) to a paint on the projection of the
southerly property line of Coe Park; thence west along said southerly
line of Coe Park, a distance of Two hundred ten feet (210 ft.) to the
point of beginning. The above-described parcel contains 0.18 acres.
Massing and intending to convey a strip of land forty feet
(40 £t.) wide and approximately We hundred feet (200 ft.) long, at the
northeast corner of the sate premises conveyed to the Grantor by a
warranty deed from C. H. Hasson, Sr., recorded on duly 2, 1946, in the
Penobscot County Registry of Deeds, Volume 1247, Page 355.
If the foregoing described premises at any time cease to be
used for the approach walkway to the west end of the Morse Covered Bridge,
so-called, as its restoration 1s now projected, and as new laid out by
the Engineering Department of the CITY OF BANGOR, then in each event the
foregoing described premises shall revert to the Grantor herein or its
successors and assigns.
TO HAVE AND TO NOLO the above described premises, with all
the privileges and appurtenances thereof, to the said CITY OF INDOOR,
its successors and assigns, forever; so that neither it, the said
PENTECOSTAL ASSEMBLY OF BANWR, INC., nor its successors, or any other
person or persona claiming from or under it or them, or in the name,
right or stead of it or them, shall or will, by any way or mea , have,
claim or demand any right or title to the aforesaid premises, or their
appurtenances, or to any part or parcel thereof, forever, except as
aforesaid.
IN WITNESS WRERROF, the said PENTECOSTAL ASSEMBLY OF BANNER,
INC. has caused in its name this instrument to be sealed with its Corp-
orate seal and signed in its corporate name by Clifford A. Crabtree,
