French St. ......................... Introduced and filed by Councilman M EMORANDLM T0: City Manager t m Chief of Police Date August 29 1966 Subject Reply to Memorandum 13, Parking Limitations - French Street You are right -- we do not have such a thing as twelve - minute unmetered parking. I suggest the next beet solution, a one-hour unmetered parking sane for the pariah house of St. Sohn'e Episcopal Church at 218 French Street. At other locations, where there are one-hour and two-hour parking acnes for doctors' offices, we have placed signs reading "Doctor's Office - One -Hour Parking (or Two -Hour Parking)" and the fact that the words "Doctor's Office" are on the sign seems to create a certain amount of respect. I think that signs reading "Clergy - One -Hour Parking 9 A. M. to 5 F. M." installed at 218 French Street would have a similar effect, therefore recommend that the area be added to Schedule VII, ChapterIII, Article 6, Section 2.4 of the City Ordinances, Parking Limited to One Hour, No Meters, as follows: French Street thirty feet on the we sterly side in front of Humber 218 French Street, as defined by signs.
