as established by the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Bangor on January y, 1954, as
amended, be hereby further amended as follows:
Change from Residence "A" to General Business Zone a parcel of land located
on the west side of Broadway, and at the southwest corner of. Broadway and
Falvey Street being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the southwest corner of Broadway and Falvey Street;
TTence in a westerly direction for a distance of 75 feet, more or less, along
the south sideline of Falvey Street to a point;
Thence in a southerly direction for a distance of 146 feet, more or leas, to a
point on the south line of the Bangor Gardens property;
Thence,in an easterly direction along the Bangor Gardens' south line for a
distance of 75 feet, more or leas, to a paint on the west sideline of Broadway;
Thence in a northerly direction along the west sidel'_ne of Broadway for a
distance of 146 feet, more or leas, to the point of beginning.
This parcel being described as Parcel 100 on Rural Sheet 42 of the City of
Bangor Assessors Naps.

SDBJBCT: A Change from eeaidence "A" to General Business a parcel of land
located on the vest side of Broadway and on the southwest corner
of Broadway and Falvey Street.
Please be advised that the Flaming Board bele a public hearing on July 6, 1966,
on the requested z e change. In arriving at a decision, the Board considered the meet
critical pointe to be:
1. Commercial use of this lot would have an adverse effect on the
entire housing development
3. Falvey Street is the main entrance to the Bangor Gardens and
any a rcial a uld increase the onjestion at the
Broadway intersectmoion
3. This change, if made, would necessitate rezoning the other house
on Broadway across Falvey, as well as several more along Falvey
to make the parcels more sable for commercial operation. This
would very seriously impair access to the residential area, as
well as eliminating direct access from m arterial
6. Any Commercial or office use would create a parking problem at
a critical location
5. This area could possibly be used to improve the a with
landscaping, a well as a right -Cum Lane thereby improving the
intersection
The Planning Board voted 3 to I to turn dawn the request.
