RBB.IECT: City Council Order 105-T
Termination of Grandview Avenue
Gentlemen
Please be advised that the Planning Board met on May 33, 1966 to consider
the termination of Grandview Avenue 6001 from Broadway.
There
was
considerable study and discussion including the nepreentatim
by the residents of Grandview Avenue. Because there are so many problems includil&
a lack of information relative to development on which the Planning Board can basa
its recommendation to the Council, the Board voted to:
TABLE the issue -with the Chairman of the Planning Board to
schedule a joint meeting of all parties involved including:
City Council
Land Owners
Musson College Representatives
Hutson College Architects and Consultants
"701" Traffic and Land Use Consultants
Planning Board Members
City Manager
Planning and Engineering Departments
FOR THE PURPOSE --o£ evolving a unified approach to the problem of adequate
access to the Musson College development that will:
1. Adequately se the College for its entire development potential
z. Provide for g000d orderly development around the campus
3. Effect the best interrelationship of the College and the City for
many future years
4. Result in a better control of traffic in the area
The Honorable City Council -i- May 24, 1966
It is the feeling of the Planning Board that for good development of
the College and the proper controlanddevelopment of the City, in that area,
several access points are vital and will need to be Marked out by all parties
involved before action is taken.
Respectfully submitted,
('g
