Councilman KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE P R E SENT S, THAT City of Bangor, a Municipal Corporation, within the County of Penobscot, State of Maine, in consideration of One Dollar ($1.03) and other valuable considerations, being lees than One Hundred Sollars ($100.00) paid by Railway Express Agency Incorporated, a Delaware corporation having a place of business in New York, County of New York and State of New York, the receipt whereof it does hereby acknowledge, does hereby remise, release, bargain, sell and convey, and forever quit -claim unto the said Railway Express Agency Incorporated, its successors and assigns forever, all its right, title and interest in and to the following described real estate situated at Bangor, in the County of Penobscot, and State of Maine and more particularly described as follows, to wit: A certain lot or parcel of land situate on the northerly aide of Perry Road in Bangor, County of Penobscot, State of Maine, bounded and described as follows: Beginning at a bolt in the northerly sideline of Perry Road seven hundred two and thirty-six hundredths (702.36) feet westerly by and along said sideline of said Perry Road from a granite monument at the intersection of the said northerly sideline of Perry Road with the westerly sideline of Thatcher Street, said point of beginning also being one hundred nineteen and eighty-three hundredths (119.83) feet westerly of a granite monument marking the first angle in the northerly sideline of Perry Road, westerly of Thatcher Street; thence continuing westerly by and along said northerly sideline of Perry Road two hundred eighteen and sixty-six hund- redths (216.66) feet to a bolt; thence deflecting to the right 440 51' and running northeasterly four hundred ninety-eight and fifty-five hundredths (498.55) feet to a bolt in the southerly sideline of the new location of Route lA - Ramp "A" " shown on the State Highway Commission Right of way Plana designated as Federal Aid project U-026-2(8); thence deflecting to the right 870 07' and running northeasterly by and along said sideline of said Route 1A -Ramp "A" one hundred twenty and three tenths (120.3) feet to a point; thence by a curve to the right with a central angle of 470 56' 51" and a radios of eight hundred (800) feet, according to said State Highway Commission Plan, thirty-four and one tenth (34.1) feet to a bolt; thence southeasterly by and along the southwesterly line of land of the Maine Hamilton Corporation six hundred sixty and five tenths (660.5) feet to the point of beginning. Containing 2.05 acres. By virtue of a Subordination Agreement entered into by the City of Bangor with Katandin Council incorporated, Boy Scouts Of America, being dated April 25, 1958, and recorded in the Penobscot Registry of Deeds, Volume 1622, Page 115, it was ack- nowledged that title to certain land, including that described herein, was encumbered to the extent of such sewer assessments as lawfully assessed by the municipal officers of the City of Bangor, in accordance with said agreement. The above described property has now been purchased by the grantee herein, the sewer assessment as referred to i said agreement has been paid in full, and by these presents the City of Bangor hereby acknowledge the discharge of the encumbrance as set forth in said Subordination Agreement, insofar as the same relates to the property described herein. The purpose of this deed is to correct the description in the deed from the grantor herein to the grantee herein, dated June 18, 1965 and recorded in the Penobscot Registry of Deeds, Volume 20080 Page 10, in which deed a course was given as "thence deflecting to the right 410 51' - - -11, and has now been corrected to "thence deflecting to the right 440 51' TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above described premises, with all the privileges and appurtenances thereof to the said Railway Express Agency Incorporated, its successors and assigns forever: so that neither the said City of Bangor, nor its successors or any other person or persons claiming from or under it or them, or in the name, right or stead of it or them, shall or will, by any way or means, have, claim or demand any right or title to the aforesaid premises, or their appurtenances, or to any part or parcel thereof, forever. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the said City of Bangor has caused this instrument to be sealed with its corporate seal and signed in its corporate name by Ralph L. Waymouth, its Treasurer, thereunto duly agthorized this 16th day of December, A.D., 1965.
