Be it ordained by the City Coumoil oftRa City ofB"tNW, w follows.-
That

That Chapter VII, Article ll of the Ordinances of the City of Bangor, Maine be
emended by the following changes:
Deleting Section 2 and substituting therefor the following:
Sec. 2 License Required: On or before the let ddb of January of each year, the
owner or keeper of any dog 4 months old or war shall
apply to the City Clerk either orally or in writing for a license for
each such dog awned or kept by him. Such application shall allte the
breed, sea, color and markings of such doge and the name end address of
the last prevl ous owner.
A fee of $1.00 shall be paid the City Clerk for each license issued
on male doge, and a fee of $5.00 shall be paid for all female doge capable
of bearing young. All female dogs shall be considered capable of producing
young unless a certificate inroad by the Commissioner of Agriculture and
signed by a licensed veterinarian, or previous license record, is presented
lrm a licensed veterinarian stating that such female was made incapable
of bearing young by spaying by him. When such certificate accompanies the
application, a fee of $1.00 shall then be paid on such spayed females. In
addition to the mount paid for license and tag, each applicant shall pay
the City Clerk 500 for the recording add making a return to the Commiseion-
r of Agriculture, except that a license end tag shall be headed by the
City Clerk, upon application, for any trained guide dog owned or kept by a
blind person without payment of any fee required under this section. When
�o any such dog has not been previoaely registered or licensed by the City
Clerk to when such application is being matle, such City Clerk shall not
" register such dog nor issue to the owner or keeper a license coal tag there-
for unless written evidence shall be exhibited to him that the dog is
trained and educatnd add intended in the fact to perform such guide service
for such applicant.
