Crv>1 .. rm.,.-..gnazrrroatrons. for Frreman arta P u hep Be it ordained by the city ccuneg of City oiBeggar. as fdkuw: That Chapter II of the Raeford City Ordinances, as amended, be further amended by repealing Section 3 of Article 31 and replacing with the following new Section 3: Sec. 3 Qualification for Fireman and Policemen. An applicant for the appointment of policeman or firman most be a citizen of the united States of good moral character. Such applicant shall have an education at least equivalent to that of a high school graduate, and shall, upon request of the Civil Service Commission, take and pass such physical examination as Shall satisfy said Commission of the ability of the applicant physicall/ to perform the duties required of a policeman or fireman. Upon the appointment of any applicant to the police or fire department not already having a domicile mithin the City of Bangor, such applicant shall withinsix months thereafter establish his domicile AtIdn the City of Season, or within a lineal distance of six miles of the central fire station in the City of Bangor. Said domicillary requirements may be extended for a period not exceeding rix months by the Chief of either department upon approval of the City Manager and the Civil Service Commission.
