Wbereas, the 0 S J Corporation has completed the expansion of the Riverview Nhtel which Is a credit to the City of Bangor. Whereas, this addition to Bangor taxable property will increase employment between 10 and 14 additional people. Whereaa, in the judgment of the Council of the City of Bangor these facts create an emergency within the meaning of the ordinance of the City of Bangor and require the following legislation as Immediately necessary for the benefit of the City of Bangor and its taxpayers. Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Bangor, as follows: Mat Section 1 (c) be added as follows (c) Where the applicant operates a hotel or Class A restaurant as defined by 28 M.E.S.A., 4 2, in a local business zone and said hotel or Class A restaurant complies to all the State requirements for the issuance of malt liquor licenses and spirituous liquor license. The City Council acting as a licensing board shall not approve the applica- tion for the sale of spirituous liquor in any hotel or Class A restaurant unless said hotel or Class A restaurant is located in a standard industry zone, a general business sone or a local business sone and complies with all pertinent State lave for the issuance of spirituous liquor.
