Representatives of the Maine Central Railroad fin- ally agreed that they would not contest the laying out as indicated subject to the payment of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) damages, It was further understood that the sewer easement would not prohibit the installation of tracks or other surface structures within the easement area or any other structure which would not prevent the proper and convenient maintenance of the sewer in the future. The responsibility of the city and the contractor pertain- ing to track removal and crossings was also discussed and those present were Informed that representatives of the Railroad had previously reviewed the construction plans and specifications and - 4 had Indicated their approval as to the methods of construction control. It is therefore recommended that the easements be established as described above and that peymant of damages in the amount of twenty-five thousand dollars (j25,000) be made to the Maine Central Railroad, Respectfully submitted, i - Engineer y k aw y City Ene Sohn neer JTF:L
