Easements for Installation and Future Maintenance of Interceptor Sewer By the City CWTui6 ortke City Of Bangor. ORDERED, THAT , WHEREAS, the City of Bangor Is contemplating the construction of an interceptor sewer to extend along the Penobscot River from a point near the Hampden town line to Kenduskeag Stream, and, WHEREAS, a large portion of said sewer would be installed on private property owned by the Maine Central Railroad, now therefore, be it ORDERED, that the City Engineer, acting for and on behalf of the municipal officers according to law, be and hereby is directed to lay out and acquire easements from the Maine Central Railroad for the installation and future maintenance of said sewer In the location shown on City of Ban or Engineering Department Plan No. 5-656, sheets 1 through 4 of 4, and titled Right of Way Plan Penobscot Interceptor, dated September 22, 1966, and said sewer location more specifically described as follows: 1. Approximately seven hundred (700) feet of sewer w.th appurtenant structures extending southwest from the sewage treat- ment plant site owned by the City of Bangor and described in Penobscot Reglstsy of Deeds, Volume 2059, page 64. 2. Twenty-six hundred (2600) feet of sewer with appurtenant structures extending north from said sewage treatment plant site to the earth line of land owned by the Barrett Division, Allied Chemical Corporation. 3. Approximately twenty-six hundred and thirty (2630) feet of sewer line with appurtenant structures extending north from the northerly line of said Barrett property to the southerly right of way line of Railroad Street. 4. Approximately sixty (60) feet of sewer line located north of the northerly right of way line of Union Street. 5. Approximately three hundred fifty (350) feet of sewer line with appurtenant structures adJacent to the existing Barkers- ville Track Sewer, and be It further ORDERED, that the Olty Engineer proceed to give written notice of such Intention of said municipal officers by posting notices for seven (7) degs in two public places and 1n the vicinity of the above-mentioned property, and the City Engineer is further ORDERED, to make the necessary petition to the Public Utilities Oommission for a hearing relative to said laying out in accordance with the requirements of the Revised Statutes of the State of Maine, and the City Engineer is further ORDERED, to make a written return of said proceedings, together with a list of damages allowed for the easements so taken, all in accordance with the laws of the State of Maine, said report to become a part of this order.
