ORDERED, THAT the City Ordinances be amended by adding to Schedule VI Chapter III, Article 6, Section 2.3, 'Parking Limited to Two Hours (No Meters) the following described area: Somerset Street: Commencing at the southwesterly corner of Essex and Somerset Streets and extending westerly along the southerly side of Somerset Street in front of No. 77 Somerset Street for a distance of seventy (70) feet as defined by signs. Introduced and filed by Cowcilsan MEMORANDUM Date September 16, 1966 T0: City Manager boom Chief of Police Subject Reply to Memorandum 18, parking request (Essex and Somerset Streets) Mrs. Gaughan, who operates a beauty parlor at the corner of Essex and Somerset Streets, finds that her customers are experiencing parking problems due to all -day street storage of cars by students at John Bapst High School and Husson College. I recommend that the following be aided to Schedule VI, Chapter III, Article 6, Section 2.3 of the City ordinances, "Parking Limped to Two Hours (No Meters)": Commencing at the southwesterly corner of Essex and Somerset Streets and ex- tending westerly along the southerly side of Somerset Street in front of No. 77 Somerset Street for a distance of seventy (70) feet as defined by signs. A two-hour zone is recommended rather than a one-hour zone due to the fact that many customers of the beauty parlor remain for more than one hour.
