To: The Municipal Officers
Reference is made to Council Order 188-U, passed July 24,
1967, accepting the petition from Briggs Land Company requesting
the extension of Curtis Street in an easterly direction for
150 feet, and directing the City Engineer to determine the
estimated cost of said construction. Plans and surveys have
been completed and cost estimates prepared as follows: The
proposed roadway extension would provide for a 40 foot wide
travel way consisting of a 24" gravel base with a tar surface
and 4 foot shoulders. The total estimated cost of the roadway
construction is $3,760, of which amount 50%, or $1,880, may be
assessed against the property benefited. A list of possible
assessments is as follows:

The Briggs Land Company has indicated that they are in favor
of the construction and the Paul V. Adams Trucking, Inc, have
indicated that they are opposed to the construction at this
time inasmuch as they have no immediate plans to develop the
property.
