Field, Treasurer City of Bangor Bangor, Maine Dear Mr. Field: We are enclosing herewith a Release Deed for execution, the purpose being to release Westinghouse Electric Corporation from any effect of Subordination Agreements relating to street and sewer assessments in the industrial park. Similar deeds have. been executed in the past, the only difference in this instance being that the assessments have been abated due to the relocationof sWestinghouse from the urban renewal area. KNOWALL MEN BY THE BE PRESENTS, THAT City of Bangor, a Municipal Corporation, Within the County of Penobscot, State of Maine, in consideration of One Dollar ($1.00) and other valuable considerations, being less than One Hundred Dollars ($1.60) paid by Westinghouse Electric Corporation, a Pennsylvania corporation having a place of business in Pittsburgh, County of Alleghany, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the receipt whereof it does hereby acknowledge, does hereby remise, release, bargain, sell and convey, and forever quit-claim unto the said Westinghouse Electric Corporation, Its successors and assigns forever, all its right, title and interest in and to the following described real estate situated at Bangor, in the County of Penobscot, Bud State of Maine and more particularly described as follows, to wit, FIRST PARCRL3 A certain lot or parcel of land situate nn Bounty of Penobscot, State of Maine, bounded and described as follows, vis, Commencing at an iron bolt on the southerly sideline of Perry Road, said bolt marking the northwesterly corner of a lot of land acquired by N. H. Bragg 6 Sone by various deeds from the Drummond Heirs, so-called, said deeds being respectively recorded in volume 1978, Page 295; volume 1978, Page 297; and volume 1978, Page 299, all recorded in the Penobscot Registry of Deeds; thence in a generally southerly direction, along the generally westerly line of said N. H. Bragg c Sone, a distance of three hundred and three hundredths (300.03) feet to an iron bolt in the town line between Bangor and Hampden; thence in a generally westerly direction, along the town line between Bangor and Hampden, a distance of ninety-seven and eighty hundredths (97.80) feet to an iron bolt at the point of intersection of said town line with the generally northeasterly line of a Parcel of land conveyed to the grantee herein by deed Of Lydia Adams Godeoe, dated March 31, 1967, recorded in the Penobscot Registry of Deeds; thence in a generally northwesterly direction along the generally northeasterly line of said land as conveyed by said Godeoe, a distance of three hundred thirty-two and seventy-eight hundredths (332.78) feet to a point in the generally southeasterly line of Kemp A of Relocated Route IA; thence in a generally northerly direction, along the generally southeasterly line of said Ramp A, a distance of seventy-five and eight hundredths (75.08) feet to an iron bolt on the generally southerly aide line of Perry Road; thence in a generally easterly direction, along the generally southerly line of said Perry Road, a distance of two hundred ninety-seven and five hundredths (297.05) feet, to the point of beginning. Being -.64 acres. SECOND PARCEL; A certain lot or parcel of land situate in Bangor, County of Penobscot, State of Maine, bounded and described as follows, viz; Commencing at a point or. the generally south- easterly line of Ramp A leading from Relocated Brute IA, being the generally westerly corner Of the First Parcel as described in the deed of Langdon J. Freese at ale to the grantee herein, dated March 31, 1967, recorded in the Penobscot Registry of Deeds; thence in a generally southwesterly direction, along the generally southeasterly line of said Ramp A, a distance of one hundred eighteen and forty-nine hundredths (118.49) feet to a highway monument; thence in a generally northwesterly direction, at an angle of 890 221, a distance of four (4) feat to a highway monument; thence in a generally southwesterly direction, along the generally southeasterly line of Relocated Brute lA, a distance of one hundred thirty-nine and seventy hundredths (139.70) feet to an Iron bolt on the town line between Bangor and Hampden; thence in a generally easte=ly direction, along said town line, a distance of three hundred forty-one and sixty-six hundredths (341.66) feet to an iron bolt mark- ing the point where the generally southwesterly line of the First Parcel in the deed of Langdon S. Freese at als, above referred to, intersects said town line; thence in a generally northwesterly direction, along the generally southwesterly line of the aforesaid First Parcel, a distance of three hundred thirty-two and seventy-eight hundredths (332.78) feet to the point of beginning. The above described First Parcel was snbject to a Subordination Agreement entered into by and between Henry P. Drummond at als and City of Bangor, dated May 1, 1958, and recorded in volume 1624, Page 99 of the Penobscot Registry of Deeds. ' The above described Second Parcel was subject to a Subordination Agreement entered into by and between Lydia Adams Godson and City of Bangor, dated Nay 1, 1958 and recorded in volume 1625, Page 179. Said parcels have been acquired by the grantee herein, and inasmuch as the grantee relocated doe to the urban renewal project the street and sewer assessments which were the subject of said agreements have been abated pursuant to an Order of the Bangor City Council. By this deed the City of Bangor acknodledges of record the release of the above described par=els from any effect of said Subordination Agreements. -2- TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above described premises, With all the privileges and appurtenances thereof to the said Westinghouse Electric Corporation, its successors and assigns forever: so that neither the said City Of Bangor, nor its successors or any Other person or persons claiming from or under it or them, or in the name, right or stead of it Or them, shall or will, by any way or means, have, claim or demand any right or title to the aforesaid premises, or their appurtenances, or to any part or parcel thereof, forever. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the said City of Bangor has caused this instrument to be sealed with its corporate seal and signed in its corporate name by Sohn 0. Field, its Treasurer, thereunto duly authorized this Ind day of August, A.D., 1967.
