This s written merely to advise you that the property in question was transferred to Mr. George Chapman who may be contacted at Modern Cleansers & Dyers some time early this year. The conveyance was made prior to April 1, and I assume that the difficulty arises merely by reason or Mr. Chopman:s failure to record. The inspection revealed that in the opinion of the undersigned, the structure is dilapidated, dangerous and unsafe and in its present condition, 1s a nuisance to the surrounding property owners. The laws of the State of Maine and the City of Bangor are such that the municipal officers may m cause this e to be abated or removed unless said building is repaired to a safe condition as set forth hapter xS, Article 1, Section 105 of the Building Cede, copy of which I am enclosing. It is one desire to discuss with you the disposition of this structure within fifteen (15) Says upon receipt of thin letter. On February 9, 1967, a permit Sum issued to demolish this building that had been previously damaged by fire. I have made several calls and have sent a notice to the onnor, pr. George Chapter, of 1322 peace Street, regarding the removal of this structure but to date, very little progress has been made. Thin in a dilapidated structure and is definitely a blight to the neighborhood. I Ovula no recommend that this building be Condemned and be referred to the city Council for action.
