To: The Municipal Officers
Reference is made to a petition dated April 7, 1967 from
David Fox and William Stocksoa requesting a survey to determine
the feasibility of extending the Essex Street sewer to serve
their property ( a copy of said petition is attached).
Surveys have been completed and plane and cost estimates
prepared for the extension of the existing Essex Street sewer
for a distance of 300 feet to serve the property of David Fox.
Because the land of Mr. Stookson is lower then the terminus of
the sewer, it will not be possible to serve his property.
The proposed extension would consist of 8 inch asbestos
cement pipe with a new manhole at the end at a total estimated
cost of $2800, 75% of this amount, or $2100, would be assessed
against feepropertybenefitting, as follows:
Estimated
ZAAui Frontage Amount
East Side
Mrs. Jean Slyne &
Mrs. Eleanor Diamond 150 7t. $525.00
David Fox 150 Ft. 525.00
West Side
Mrs. Grace B. Shannon 300 Ft. 1050,00.
Mr. Fox and Mrs. Shannon were in favor of the proposed in-
stallation. Mrs. E1yne and Mrs. Diamond felt that they could offer
no opinion as to the installation at this time since their property
is on the market for sale. Inasmuch as the land owned by Mrs.
Shannon Is presently undeveloped, It is recommended that the assess-
ment be deferred until such time as the land is developed and entry
into the sewer is required, provided that a suitable recordable
instrument is furnished to the city. It is further recommended
that the sewer be constructed as outlined above, subject to the
recommended assessments.
An accurate plan accompanies this report.
Respectfully submitted,
1 .
