THAT Sec. 3 of Appendix H, Chapter VIII, Airfield Zoning Ordinance of Bangor, Maine,
is amended by adding a new subsection to be numbered 3.1 to read as follows:
Subeec. 3.1. Noninatrument Approach Zone. A norinstrment approach ane for n -
rnatrement landings and takeoffe i
established at each and of thenortheast-southwest runway shown on the
plane referred to in Sec. 3 of this Ordinance. One such zone begins
at the northeasterly end of the runway, extends northeasterly there-
fros, has a width of 400 feet at a distance of 200 Feet frosts the runway
end and thereafter widens unifwray to a width of COS feet at a distance
of 2,200 feet beyond the northeasterly and of the runway, the centerline
or this zone being the continuation of the centerline of the runway. The
other zone hereby established begins at the southwesterly end of the
runway, extends southwesterly therefrom, has the adds dimension as the
zone hereinabove described, its cantarlin being the continuation of the
centerline of the runway above referred to.
THAT Sec. 4 is emended by adding a new subsection 4.1 as follows:
Subsec. 4.1 Nondnstrument Approach Zone Haight Limit. Be structure or natural

tions applicable thereto are shoed on a plan titled "Plan and Profile
Glide Path N. E. - S.W. Runway Dow Air Force Hasse prepared by the City
of Bangor Engineering Department and dated 1967, which Plan is attached
hereto, made a part of this Ordinance and filed in the Office of the City
Clerk of the City of Bangor, Maine.
THAT Subsection 5.1 is amended to read as follows:

Settlement
Please bas advised that the Planning Beard continued its review of
the proposed amendment as presented in Cowcil Order 153-0, at their
meeting an lane L2, 1967.
After consideration the Board voted to approve Cowcil Order 153-0
as referred froom the City Council.
In further active the beard considered the amendment proposed to
the Board and that will be presented to Council, amounted Sec. 5 of
Article 12, Chapter VIII, Supplementary Regulations.
The proposed Sec. 5 as amended:
Sec. 5 Airport Gliding Samoa. No stuuctures shall be erected nor
vegetativeallowed to exist, within airport gliding z s in the
vicinity of any airport owned or operated by the Cityof Bangor at
a height greater than that permitted by the applicable provisions
of the height Limiting awes established under Chapter VIII.
Appendix B of the Airfield Boning Ordinance of Bangor, Maine.
The Board voted to approve the amendment provided the words (named
or operated by) be deleted, and the work (in) be substituted.

Gentlemen:
Please be advised that the Planning Board held a public hearing
on the proposed ordinance change on June 59 1967.
During that meeting several
ral amendeents were proposed by Mr.
Blanchard. these were discussed and considered along with the basic
ordinance changes.
It was agreed that users. Blanchard, Deadbeat, Pails, and gosobud
would meet to resolve wording of the proposed amendments.
Rhin meeting has been held, but as yet the Planning Board has not
sufficient time to act on the changes. Board action will take piece
within the next fee days.
