TO: The Municipal Officers
Pursuant to Council Order 216-U, passed August 20, 1967,
directing the City Engineer to prepare plana and cost estimates
for the extension of the Hildreth Street Trunk Sewer inwest-
erly direction towards odlin Road to serve the land of Henry
Page, the following report is submitted:
The proposed installation would consist of 172 feet of
12 inch pipe and 1328 feet of 10 inch pipe and six manholes ex-
tending in a westerly direction from the Hildreth Street Truck
Sewer to a point approximately 400 feet from Odlin Road. The
total estimated cost of this installation is $18,600, of which
amount 75%, or $13,950, may be assessed against the property
benefited, being 50 acres owned by Henry Page. Approximately
5.1 acres, Or 10.3$ of the total Page property, is presently
being developed. It is, therefore, recommended that a proportion-
ate amount of the total assessment be lauded after final costs
are known and a final report has been approved, and it is recom-
mended that the remaining portion of the assessment be deferred
until such time as the property is developed. A condition of the
deferment would be that the owner agrees to limit the sale price
of his land to $3,000 per acre, said agreement to be confirmed
by a suitable recordable instrument.
it is, therefore, recommended that the sewer be constructed
as outlined above. A plan of the proposed installation is
attached.
Respectfully submitted,
Sohn T. Frawley \)
City Engineer
