About OCtotor 10,1966 it has brougkt to the attention of thin Separtment that you had opened end were operating a bakery at the above address in factor without obtaining a food astablishmint permit fron thu Bangor feoartmnnt of Public Health. We quote for your irformation Chapter V, Section 2 of the Laws and Ordinaecee of the City of Bangor. 'Pervit Required. An insnectinn was made by 4r. Lamson and myself of this Department on Friday, Oct. 14th. A letter was sent to you on the sane day notifying you of violations to Chapter V, Art.2 of the Laws and Ordinawss of the City of gouger existant in your establiahmont at the time o' said inspection. You were notified in this letter that tiis Department was allowing you thirty d.qs to correct the violations to the aatisfaetlon of this Department. You were given tmaoorary permission to operate a bakery during this time. In actuality, nearly sixty days elapsed 'oe£ore the second inspection of your establish - want was made. During the intervening period you made no attempt to contact us with questions which you Over have had regarding the contents of the letter. 2_ On Monday, Oemnber 6th, a second inspection was made to determine comoliace with the requirements listed in the first lettr. We offered to assist you in finding a more suitable site for relocation, if you desired, to remain in operation in Bangor. (Section 5.9) In addition to these items, two matters on which yen were previously notified were still evident at the time of the January 31st inspection. (a) Me walls of all rooms in the establishment as indicated :n previous correspondence have not yet been palnted.1 (Section 5.1) (b) Storage of an excess of unused equipment and utensils In the bakery, impeding proper and regular attention to routine cleaning of shelf space, tables and floors. (Section 5.11) Me cellar of the bak^ry was found to contain excessive litter and debris. (section 5.5) In addition, the following conditions were found bo exist at the time of the inspection which are in violation of local Laws and Ocdlnarcae dealing with safety and sanitation. You may be contacted by the Bangor Fire Department with regard to these and otters. (a) the bakery oven is without proper venting and presently vents directly into the main bakery room at the front of the building.
