DqY REUSE COORDINATOR
DEFINITION
This is advanced technical and administrative work in the supervision
and coordination of the Dow Reuse Program
The employee in this class is responsible for planning and organizing
projects and the implementation, modification, and analysis of the over-all
program for Dow Reuse, subject to the approval of the Dow Executive Reuse
Committee and the City Council. The responsibilities of this position are
such that it requires a thorough familiarity with city programs, policies
and the knowledge of the programs and procedures of the military organizations
and various federal and state agencies involved in military base closings and
civilian reuse development.
EXAMPLES OF WOFR PERFORMED (Any one position may not include all of the duties
listed, nor do the listed examples include all tasks which may be found in
positions Of this class.)
Prepares research and study materials for the Dow Executive Reuse Committee,
the City Council and City Manager.
Prepares public relations materials, news items and speeches for citizen
information
Works closely with the Economic Development Department in developing plans
for industrial, commercial
rcial and educational x of the military facilities,
and briefs potential u of the available facilities and the mechanics of a
federal -m- civilian transfer.
Organizes meetings and briefings for all departments, groups and agencies
involved in the reuse program.

Prepay cost and revenue analyses for various proposals for future Dow
operations,
Maintains close liaison with base officials and various federal and state
officials.
REQUIRED KNONLEDCES. SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to work effectively witb all departments of the City. City Council
and various state, federal and military officials.
Ability to speak and write effectively and to appear before the public to
discuss programs in connection with the project.
Ability to prepare and submit clear and concise reports.
Ability to establish and maintain effective public relations in support of
the Dow Reuse program.
Knowledge of aviation techniques and feel litles.
Ability to coordinate Dow Reuse Programa with all Other city programa.
Working knowledge of military organization, procedures and protocol.
Ability to perform technical r a

the decisions of the Council, and to analyze and monitor thecontinuing program.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
Considerable experience in a responsible administrative position, and some
experience in government administration.
Adegree from a college or university with background in business adminis-
tration or public finance desired.
